Across all types of organisms, cells may be classified into two fundamental morphological types: Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells.
Prokaryotic cells:
Prokaryotic cells do not carry a nucleus, they are usually unicellular organisms and are much smaller than eukaryotic cells. There are also no ribosomes found in these cells.
Eukaryotic cells:
Mitochondria and chloroplasts are organelles found in Eukaryotic cells and are approx the size of prokaryotic cells.
